Supervised Visitation
What is Supervised Visitation?

Supervised visitation allows parents in high conflict or high risk situations access to their children in a safe, supervised and child-friendly environment. Visits preserve a child’s attachments to his or her parents, siblings and other family members, and can lessen both the child’s and the parents’ anxiety about the child being placed in substitute care.

What is Safe Exchange?

Safe Exchange Services allows children to be exchanged from one parent to the other without being exposed to the conflict of the parents; supervising  movement of the child from the custodial to the non-custodial parent and then back to the custodial parent at the end of the visit.

Who Supervises the Visits?

The Visitation Specialist is present at all times during the visit between parent and child, documenting visit activity and ensuring a safe and positive visiting experience. We understand that being supervised during visitation may feel uncomfortable at first, but parents and children typically adjust quickly to the situation.
